Trouble using CASO option

I'm using Backup Exec 11d ver. 7170 on a Windows Server 2003 media servers.  During the 60 day trail of Backup Exec 11d test the capabilities of the CASO option to perform a backup using incremental and falls to the local disk space of the media sever. I want to do a duplicate backup to tape of the full on another media server with a locally attached tape unit (same network and domain).  When I attempt this I get a prompt bacically stating the resources must be on the same media server.  Is it possible to do this?  Is't this the point of the CASO option to be able to use the resouces of another to have a failover option?

Hi eugene,

It will not work , you will need to have the tape drive on the same CASO.
CASO is to use to manage many media servers from a central server.  You can delegate jobs to the manage media server from the caso and you can monitor and create the jobs from the CASO .
