Hello,

i have Veritas Backup Exec 9.1 for Windowsservers with the Tapelib-, Remote-, Exchange and Advanced Open Filesystemagent installed on a W2000 Standard Server. The server ist a Compaq DL 380 with 2 GB RAM, 1 x MSL 6030 Tapelib an 2 external Diskarrays. Additionally to Veritas, Mcafee 7 is installed.

The problem is that the Win 2000 Server reboots almost every night without any hints of problems or errors. The only hint ist that the server reboots when he is backing up!
Could this be a veritas problem??

Does anyone has any idea??
Thanks

Hello,

There is no such known issue with backup Exec.
However to isolate this issue perform the following steps.

1. Is this happening only for scheduled backups or even Run now?
- try with both and verify the results.
2. if you have any maintenance scheduled, please disable it.

3. Disable Antivirus service and also all other third party services and verify the results.

4. Create a small job for test purposes and verify the results.

Please reply to each question.
