Hi
We are trying to get IDR working on a test server we have put in a cd-rewriter and tried to run the software but when we do the system asks for our installation cd.
The disk we used was a multi version volume license edition of windows 2003 enterprise edition, so I wrote the enterprise area on to a new cd and this boots perfectly.
The problem is when I try and use this with idr I get the message "Image creation from this cd not supported"

How can I get round this issue
Regards
Anthony

Hello,

At this time, Backup Exec (tm) does not support the writing of Intelligent Disaster Recovery (IDR) images to DVD.

There are three options by which IDR can be created:

* Creating bootable diskettes (for Microsoft Windows 2000 and NT only)
* CD-R (CD-Recordable) or CD-RW (CD-Rewritable)
* Bootable tape (the tape device must support bootable specifications)

At this time IDR also does not support creating CDs from any media that is not written in the IS0 9660 standard. This also includes CDs written in the ISO 9660 Joliet standard.

Also refer to the following technotes to help you:

While creating a bootable media for Intelligent Disaster Recovery (IDR) the error message "Image creation from this CD not supported" occurs.

When creating the Intelligent Disaster Recovery bootable media, an error message "Image creation from the CD is not supported" occurs and an incorrect CD-ROM icon is displayed.
