WMI error

In your Document ID 276742 you list several things to check or do if you get the WMI error being addressed. At the end of the document it states that the WMI folder can deselected from backup because it automatically gets backed up during the System State backup. Is WMI really important for a restore in the first place?

I get the WMI errors sporadically even though the service is started and I can back it up manually with no problems.
