Dear all,
Please see file attached. I know that at the moment Windows Server 2012 R2 is not supported but my customer can wait for BE 2014.
Should I propose BE Server, BE Agent for Windows x 5, BE Agent for VMware and Hyper-V x 3 and BE Agent for Applications and Databases x 2 to cover my customer's envoirment?
Thanks in advance,
Maciej Wiszniewski

Hi,
With Hyper-V in the mix, you should be looking at V-Ray.
See details below:
http://www.symantec.com/backup-exec-vray-edition
http://eval.symantec.com/mktginfo/enterprise/fact_sheets/b-symc_backup_exec_2012_vray_edition_overview_DS_21227307.en-us.pdf
BE 2014 is GA tomorrow!
Thanks!

You do not need any AWS licences because you are entitled to load AWS on all the VM's hosted on the host with the Hyper-V agent licence.
If you want to be able to restore individual AD objects, then you would need another Agent for Applications and Databases licence for backing up AD.
When you look at V-Ray, you got to balance the cost of a V-Ray licence vs. getting individual Agent for Applications and Databases licences. See this blog
https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/blogs/whats-included-backup-exec-v-ray-edition
Note that V-Ray licences are per occupied socket and not per core.

Thanks for your help! I will count v-ray as well and check which option is cheaper.
