Where Do I find the media expiration setting

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone knows what the default expiration setting is for BENT, if it can be changed and where? I want to make sure it conforms to our Data recovery policies.

The default OPP is infinite. ie never overwrite
The default append is infinte ie always allow

You set this by media set, in the media set definition/properties. You cannot set it for a specific tape.

yes, as suggested by Ken:
The default setting for a Media Set is Overwrite protection period is set to Infinite, which means the tape can never be overwritten. And the Append period is also set to Infinite which means you can alsways append the tape...

However this setting is for a media set and not a tape. You can change these settings when you go to the MEDIA Tab in the BE console, right click on the media Set and go to properties of that media set.
