Hello,

Verify if the MAC OS version is suppoted by BE 9.1.

Refer the folloing SCL.

http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/261695.htm

To backup a remote MAC system you require a BE Mac Agent installed on the MAC system . The MAC agent is found in the \Program Files\VERITAS\Backup
Exec\NT\Agents\MacOSX directory.
The Backup Exec Macintosh Agent allows Backup Exec to perform backup and restore operations on Macintosh workstations that are connected to the network. This agent must be running on the Macintosh workstation before backup or restore operations can be performed. After the agent is installed, configured and the Macintosh workstation is restarted, the workstation is ready for backup.
When backing up data using the Backup Exec Macintosh Agent, Backup Exec
allows you to protect data using full or working set
backup types.
The MAC agent is free of cost

Hello,

As you have mentioned here that you are saving files from MAC to a Windows Server and then during the daily backup of the Windows you are backing it up, please note that if you have just copied the files from the MAC os to windows then in this case you will not require the MAC agent.
But if you have the actual share on the MAC OS and you have mapped it on the Windows server then you will require a MAC agent.
We hope thsi will help you.
