corrupt files failing bakcup

I'm running veritas 10.x and it backs up our exchange server. for the last few days backups have been failing because of a corrupt file in a mailbox (actually two mailboxes). it's the same file every time, and is the same two mailboxes. so I changed the registry key and restarted the services, the backup failed overnight. I restarted the server, and the backup still fails.

Anyone know of a solution (apart from removing the corrupt file).

This would prob. save my sanity.

What is the exact error message?

Are you using aofo to backup exchange database?

Stop the antivirus service if it is running during the backup.
