original Data directory not empty after move to another location

Dear all,

I have BE 2012 SP3 and due to HDD capacity shortage I used BEUTILITY to move "Catalogs" and "Data" to another drive.

It ran fine without any errors. "Catalogs" was completely moved, while on C:\...\Data there are still files that are obviously still in use as the data changes every day!

Those files were updated after the transfer of "Data"

  • BEHADataBase.bak
  • BEDB.bak
  • bedb_dat.mdf
  • ATS00200.DR.TMP
  • BEWSTelemetry.xml
  • BEWSTelemetry-tmp.xml
  • TelemetryData_Config.xml
  • TelemetryData_Performance.xml
  • BEHADataBase.db3
  • msgq0000000000.dat
  • bedb_log.ldf

And there are also other files, that were not transfered and not updated afterwards

  • bedb_dat.bak
  • bedb_dat.upg
  • bedb_log.bak
  • bedb_log.upg
  • metadata-b-ATVMS00203_1-14-09-2013-01-46
  • chgtrkinfo-b-ATLINVMFP01_1-14-09-2013-01-46.xml
  • chgtrkinfo-b-ATVMS00203_1-14-09-2013-01-46.xml
  • ATS00200-VM-VCB-{E4911C9C-8610-4C8E-9A4F-394D57E5EA20}
  • 58e03e7a.crt
  • abecacaf.crt
  • abecacaf.key
  • ... and many others

I don't like to have two "Data" directories to be used for differents information!

Any idea, how to transfer those files that are still actively used and what to do with the rest?

Many thanks in advance for helpful feedback.

Best regards, Werner

The BEDB is never moved because the path is used when it is defined to SQL.  The BEDB.BAK is the backup of the BEDB.
