DA Migration to 64bit Hardware Issue

Hello, followed the Technote on performing this with the actual SQL databases remaining where they are.  Only DA was moved from old to new Server.  The issue comes when editing the Customer database properties for the Customers Tasks Server as mentioned here:

"Pay particular attention to the name of the Customer's task server. If necessary, change this name to the name of the new Accelerator server. In the case of Discovery Accelerator, you may need to change the database locations for analytics if you have also changed the SQL Server."

In EVBAAdmin website, I can see the old and new DA Server on the left pane and the customer databases are still listed under the old DA Server.  I am unable to edit the Customers Tasks Server drop down box as it is "greyed out" ???

Is this the technote you used?

Did you do this step?

8. Modify the following three (3) tables in the CA or DA Configuration database.  Replace the original NetBIOS server name with the new NetBIOS server name.  If the NetBIOS name of the server is not changing, this step can be skipped.

Tony,

no.  I followed this:

Symantec Enterprise Vault Technical Note, Migrating Enterprise Vault to 64-bit hardware 9.0

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH141481

Unfortunately the above link does not mention any of the steps you refer to in http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH55065 and this should be addressed as a matter of urgency in a new version of that document.

I hope I can still go back and perform those steps that are missing without serious repercussions.  I will let you know the outcome.
