Archive Explorer and Search not working in OWA

Hi all,

When using OWA, buttons and correct icons are visible, and also clicking on archived mail triggers the correct behaviour.
However, clicking the the archive explorer or archive search button opens a new window, but this windows stays white. There is no error message anywhere.

When using outlook the explorer and search functionality works correct.

We use one EV server and two back-end exchange servers with one front-end.

Anyone seen this before? (and ofcourse, how did you solve it...? )

Thanks a lot in advance

Kees.

Kees,
What version of EV and Exchange are involved?
Have you tried going directly to the backend Exchange server?
Also, do you usa any firewalls, like ISA?

Hi Tony,

We use EV6 sp3 and Exchange 2003 SP2.
When used from whitin Outlook 2003, everything seems to work fine, so it's only a OWA problem.

I am not completely sure about this, because we had quite som schanges lately, but the problem seems to appear since we changed the ip-address of the front end server....

Thanx!

If you connect to the backend via OWA does it work? If so that would narrow it down to something between the FE and BE.

From the FE open a command window and type proxycfg. In the bypass list should be all the Exchange servers and the ipaddress of the FE. If the old IP address is there you can re-run the OWA config on the FE.

Tony,

Right now we are troubleshooting without any firewall or reversed proxy.
It also does not work when talking straight to the backend.

Clicking the button for archive explorer opens a new window, that only shows the vertical line that separates the folder window in the left-pane from the message window in the right pane. Further the screens stays white.

Proxycfg on the BE shows:
Proxyservers: 127.0.0.1
Bypass list: All EV aliases and the localhost (127.0.0.1)

Thanx!

Hi I got similar behaviour and it was down to IE7 not being supported, worked perfectly well on IE6 though.

Gents,

See my reply on Cathy Jackson's post in regards to editing EV OWA script files.
