Hi all,
So I am running through our EV archive list and have realised we have a huge number of orphan archives, highlighted by the presence of SIDs in the bill to column. I am going through and renaming the archives to include 'ORPHAN ARCHIVE' at the end of the displayname.
My question: Is there any overnight process I should be aware of which will remove the orphan archive tag I am adding, so restoring the original archive name? There are no corresponding exchange mailboxes or AD accounts.
Thanks,
Jeremy.

Since they are orphans probably not. The only concern would be Reset Archive Names on the advanced tab of the Exchange Mailbox Policy, to be safe you could set that to off.
Reset archive names
Description
Controls whether, during synchronization, archive names are automatically changed to match mailboxes names.
Supported values
Off. During synchronization archive names are never changed.
On (default). During synchronization, archive names are automatically changed if necessary to match mailbox names.
Legacy name

Thanks I have this option set to ON, and unfortunately I cannot change this out of the blue because it is a policy change.
Does anyone know where the 'bill usage to' data is stored and how I can link it to the archive table?
Thanks,
Jeremy.
