Archiving calendar events

Hi,  

I am have checked couple of mailboxes with calendar event in inbox and sent items with attachments. This calendar event with attachments occupy the mailbox size. so i want them to be archived. I am using EV2007 SP5

I have configured the mailbox policy to

*stip attachment form the calendar event

*archive the unexpired calendar events.

* selected the message class IPM.appointment* 

My Observations

I have seen the attachment in the calendar are getting archived properly.

but i still see the attachments not getting archived from the calendar items in my inbox and sent items. when ever i update a calendar item it forwards the item to all the attendes. If it has an attachment it is forwarded to all. this information is available on all the attendees inbox and sent item of my mailbox.I want to archive these calendar items too.. how can i achive these??

whats the message class of those items in inbox and sent items?
The stripping of attachments should only apply to items in \calendar , items in inbox and sent items (to the best of my memory) be turned in to regular shortcuts

Also are they future or recurring calendar items, becuae there are some policy settings towards that, however being outside the calendar they shouldnt fall under that.

Also what happens if you try and manually archive one of these items?
