Authentication prompt in Outlook

Hi,

I have an issue with a user only in my environment. We are using EV 10.0.3 with Outlook 2010 32 bit. (Win7 64bit)

The user is receiving the authentication prompt within Outlook when attempting to start a sync or going to Archive Explorer. The user enters his domain username and password and check "save password". Sometimes the user are not asked again for the password during the same Outlook session. But after a while the user is asked for several times for the password even during the same Outlook session.

The EV server is in the local intranet zone and "automatically logon in intranet zone only" is checked in IE. The user has now problem to access his archive with IE. No password prompt received. It is only within Outlook that the authentication with EV is not working. 

I usually resolve such issue with deleting IE cache and temp files in the user profile.But here no luck

Check this technote and see if any of them resolve your issue http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH56220 Typically vault cache prompting upon synchronization is an error being thrown by Enterprise Vault so you'd need to DTrace W3WP, but otherwise this technote resolves 99.9% of password prompt cases
