Backup Vault Store Partition

Hi,

In the vault store properties, there is a setting  on

[Remove Saftey Copies]

a) Never
b) After Backup
c) Immediately after archive

As for the Backup, what kind of backup does refers to . Let say the vault store partition is store on d:\evstorage, when I used the system
backup exec to backup d:\evstorage, does it mean backup has been done?

In addtion, what does it mean by "immediately after achive.

Thanks for your patience as my English is not that good.

yes, this would remove the safety copy and counts as backup. however, do not forget to backup sql never= do not remove safety copy after backup= remove after backup immediately= remove as soon as the mail got copied to the archive.

EV looks for the archve bit to get reset as in indicator a backup has run. If set to Immediately after archive then EV doesn't hang on to the safety copies until the backup runs.
