Hi all
I'm trying to restore archived Sharepoint items and found strange problem. No items can be restored at all. The error stated is "The Enterprise Vault Server is unavailable or access is denied".
In dtrace log I see following:

I can't publish whole post due to unknown reason. So I'm trying to add post text by small chunks

Hi Tony
This post is somehow cursed. I can't properly update it :)
I've checked the link you've given. The EV Admin service is running under VSA properly, so it's not a case.
I'm most concerned of this entry in dtrace log:
GetMachineNameUsingHostNameHelper failed. Server Name [SP1.domain.local ddqeY3jZRXg= ᄌᄈᄚᄑᄒᄈᆪレノフレヘノヨワレ] Error [No such host is known. (0x80072af9)]
Of course there is no such host because host name is SP1.domain.local. That nonsense after the name is unknown to me. It seems to me as some memory corruption.

Can you run this against the EnterpriseVaultDirectory database?

Very strange. Can you check the SPN's for the EV Servers?
