EV 8 Problem with Journaling

Hi all,

We have a problem with duplicate items in the journal Archive.
When we start archiving, we had about 65k items(5,7GB)  in the journal mbx.
Next day the Vault Store usage shows about 1 Million items (24GB) in the journal archive.
I've seen some items 2,3,4 or 5 times in the archive.
The EV Server shows also 100% CPU use....continually...(StorageFileWatch,StorageArchive,StorageCrawler,Journaltask...)
EV Server:
W2003 R2 Std. SP2
EV 8.0.0. did the Upgrade from 7.5 SP2 last week-->but we implement journaling after this Upgrade
Exchange System Manager 2003 SP2 (left from initial Installtion of EV-->was prerequisite)
Exchange:
2003 SP2-->only Mailbox & Public Folder Archiving-->currently we migrate mbx's to xch2007-->works all fine
2007 SP1-->here we setup journailing in addtion to MBX & PF Archiving
Stopped the Journaling Task today (2,8 million items/53GB)

Honestly, with the number of things that would need to be checked your best option is to work thru support.

Are those by any chance meeting requests which get archived multiple times?

This is a known problem that they get archived indefinitely.

Oh yes, and I recommend that you upgrade to EV8 SP1. It contains many fixes... ;)

I think the meeting request's are the Problem...the documents
describes exactly, what i need know (envelope journaling etc)
i will check this out, and also do the Upgrade to SP1 (was also planned).
I will let you know the result of the possible changes and upgrade...thinking it's
the solution for our problem.
