Enterprise Vault 8 SP1 in mixed MSOffice enviroment

Hi!

New in this forum.

Running EV 8 sp1, Exchange 2007 sp1. In the starting phase of implementing E-mail archiving.

We have a large department running Office XP(2002) in Citrix and the huge mas of users running Office 2003 on local pc.

We noticed that runing EV8 on OfficeXP wasnt supported by experiance :) .

Is there any way to do a workaaround about this?

Yes, you can install the EV2007 Sp6 client onto the Citrix server and the Officee XP users will use this.

So an older client is compatible with the newer EV8?  Same funconality or?

Hi Krister

Same functionality, everything EV will work, but you won't get Vault Cache (instead Offline Vault will still work) - but seeing it's on a Citrix server that shouldn't be an issue.
