Certain user can't search to the archives mails. When I look into the archive properties --> Index Volumes the "from date" "to date" already expire. If the index is expire, user cannot search for items?
Thx

If it is empty there isn't any mail archived for them, the mail has never been indexed, or possibly the index is failed and needs repaired.
Yes, you can use those 3 urls but I wouldn't use the Integrated URL, that is designed to be used inside of Outlook.

what do you mean expired?
Indexes don't expire, but actual savesets/emails that have been archived can be expired, and when expiry runs it deletes the items individually from the index.... but when you search on the index afterwards, the expired items will not show up in the search (they've been deleted) and the number of items in the index would decrease...
If you expired ALL the items then it would simply return no results
But if you're getting an error saying failed to search or what not, then that means the index maybe failed or offline and you need to update it.

So, what is that option "from" "to date" option in the archive propierties? Some users don't have this. The archive with problems habe this "from to".
What it mean this option?
Something to do with retention categories?

Can you post a screen shot? I think what you are seeing is just the date range for items in the archive.
What happens when these users try to search? Do they get an error?

maybe some users are using integrated search and others are doing browser search?

What is the difference about the search?
Here a capture of the Index Volumes - What is that "From date" "To Date"?

The From date is the date of the oldest email and the To date is the date of the youngest email.

So, if that section is empty, there is no mail on it?
This are the three ways to browse an email, right?
•Archive Explorer URL:
http://web_server_name/EnterpriseVault/ArchiveExplorerUI.asp
•Integrated search URL:
http://web_server_name/EnterpriseVault/searcho2k.asp
•Browser search URL:
http://web_server_name/EnterpriseVault/search.asp
