Enterprise Vault Administration Console on a stand alone workstation?

I'm wondering...

Where does it mention that Windows Administration Tools Pack is a MUST in order to install EV Administration Console on a stand alone workstation?

What am I missing here? I checked the compatibility charts and didn't find any mention on this...

It's in the Installing and Configuring Guide page 107-108:

About the prerequisites for a standalone Enterprise Vault Administration Console

If required, the Enterprise Vault Administration Console can be installed on a

separate computer that has the following prerequisite software:

■ One of the following versions of Windows:

■ Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2 or later.

■ Windows Vista. (For roles-based administration functionality, you need to

install SP 1 or later.)

■ Windows 7.

■ Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 2 or later.

■ Windows Server 2008 with Service Pack 1 or later.

If Windows Server 2008 with Service Pack 1 is installed, you must also

install the following mandatory hotfix for IIS:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/949516

Note the following: Chapter

■ The hotfix that Microsoft provides for Windows Vista is the hotfix to

use for Windows Server 2008.

■ By default, the Microsoft Web page presents a hotfix download that

matches the operating system of the computer that you are using. On

the download page, choose the option to show hotfixes for all platforms

and languages so that you can select the correct version of the hotfix.

■ MDAC 2.6 or later. A suitable version is installed automatically with both

Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008 (which changes the name of

MDAC to Windows Data Access Component, or Windows DAC).

■ IIS 6.0 or later.

■ Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 or SP2.

■ The Administration Tools Pack. This pack is required on Windows XP

Professional, Windows Vista, and Windows 7.

If Enterprise Vault is configured to archive Exchange servers, you also require

one of the following versions of Microsoft Outlook on the remote Administration

Console computer:

■ Outlook 2003 SP2

■ Outlook 2007 SP2

■ Outlook 2010
