Hi,
If we enable collections and set limit collection file size to 20 MB, and if we have large archived files say a 2GB DVFSP, would that file be collected? Or any files under 20MB will be collected into Cab Files?
What if we want to collect everything regardless of archived item size based on age, what do we set this option Limit collection files to ?
Many Thanks

DVF, DVFSP/CC are included as part of the migration to secondary storage when collections is enabled. These files would never be added to the CAB files so changing the size of the actual collection would have no bearing on them regardless.
Hope this helps.

DVFSP files will never be collected. There is no point as they are already large files. The object of collecting files is to improve Backup applications performance when scanning file systems for files to backup. Thousands of small files impede their performance hence collect all the small files into CAB files. Based on that again if your backup strategy is to take snapshots at a block level of the disk then you wouldnt gain anything by collecting.
Typically the 10MB filesize is more than adequate - why would you consider increasing this?

We want to migarte some old vault stores in NetBackup. How can we migarte large DVFSP without collecting?

Thanks, do you know when does migration happens? Is there any way to trigger migration manually?

Actually collection Run triggers Migration as well after collection run completes
