Enterprise Vault - This item is offline

I have this message from EV when I click on one of my email that i want to restored.

Is this normal ?

the icon beside my email shows a blue arrow in front of the clock.

The status shows - this item is being restored by Enterprise Vault.

I can still open the email

When clicking on the email, the message shows -> The item is offline. Enterprise vault may not be able to display this item's contents.

First of I would try and cancel the pending restore operation and see if it reverts back to a normal message or archived item. Top do this just select cancel opeariotn from the tool / ev menu in Outlook. If the user doesn't have the option then you can either enable it via the desktop policy or use the mailbox policy time out setting for pending items.

Are there any items stuck in the R2 queue in MSMQ, if so purge the Q and try again. It may also be a corrupt Outlook profile so try recreating it.

If that does'nt do it then capture a client trace and a server dtrace of an attempt to restore the mail.
