Hi,
1. We have deployed EV 6.0 SP1 on Windows 2003 clustered environment. We have installed placeholder service on File Server clusters for FSA. Whenever we reboot any node on the cluster, the placeholder service seems to start before the drives / shared resources come online. We have tried to even make a generic resource on the cluster for the same but no luck. Anyone aware what an ideal script would be for Placeholder service to start after shared resources online.
2. We installed SP2 for EV & it seems to be disaster. Even though it worked for some time, the system just stopped functioning later. We had to revert back to SP1 (Luckily had saved mirror second disk). Any idea if anyone having SP2 functioning for FSA. We are using EV just for FSA.
Setup :
HP EVA 5000 - Shared drives for FS, Database etc
Windows 2003 Clusters
Windows 2003 Std. Directory service computer
MSA 1000 for Archive storage
Placeholder on 2 node Microsoft File cluster, Windows 2003
