We are having Enterprise vault for exchange 10.0.4
and want to upgrade to 11.0
We actually upgraded from 9 .So is it recommended to upgraded to again to 11.0.

2008r2sp1 is supported as OS for EV11.
UPgrade - path is identical as from 9 to 10, with 1 major improvement:
when upgrading the databases, you used to start the Directory service, then the storage service. There now is an exe file called EVDatabaseUPgrader. This upgrades all databases (except monitoring) in 1 go. Cool!
Good thing is that for a user nothing changes UNTIL you enable the new search. Your users will love that, as they will the possibility to use the search on Ios, Windows phone and Android.
Test it, and be surprised!

If you want to make use of new features of EV11 then you should upgrade to EV11.0.1
Before upgrading you should contact Symantec Licensing Team for EV11 licenses.

After upgrading to 10.0.4 there is a noticeable difference in Vault console of fresh installation of enterprise vault 10.0 and which is upgraded from version 9.
Currently enterprisevault server is installed on windows 2008R2 sp1 .
everything is working fine, Now customer wants to just upgrade as enterprise vault 11.0 has verygood featers.
