Experience upgrading from v6 to v7?

Hi!  I am in the initial planning for upgrading from v6 SP4 to v7 SP1.  Has anyone done this upgrade?  What was your experience with it?  I am particularly interested in the actual client upgrades.  Most of our clients are on Windows XP SP2 and Office 2003 and only a small test group has upgraded to Office 2007.

Any thoughts will be appreciated, thanks in advance!

Hi Scott,

I'm not sure about Office 2007 support, but from my experiences upgrading from 7.0 to 7.0SP1 ensure that your database permissions/owners are not changed. This can alter the names of stored procedures and views within the EV databases in SQL.

The names may change from DBO.<name> to DOMAIN\SERVICEACCOUNT.Name and certain functions may go awry, so keep an eye out for this one by checking the Views and Stored Procedures in SQL post-upgrade.
