FSA / Mailbox archiving merge and upgrade from EV 9 to EV 11

I have a client who is wanting to upgrade EV 11 from 9.0.3. Currently the environment consists of:

Mail archiving server runing on Windows Server 2003 R2
FSA server also running on Windows Server 2003R2

The client would like to firstly merge the two servers and run it preferably on Server 2012, however there is a potential request to redo the FSA i.e. remove the current server and add add a fresh new FSA configuration to the environment as apparently there have been issues with file archiving and would prefer a new clean database.

As there are some time constraints for this implementation, What would be fastest / best way forward?

Before you start with the Procedure I would sujjest you to have look at the compatibility guide.

You cannot upgrade directly to Ev 11  It should be 9.0.3 to 10 refer http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH53174

You need to make sure the SQL server is Supported with higher version of EV eg if SQL 2005 is not supported by Ev 11 so you may have to Upgrade the Sql server as well.
