How to get detailed EV item reports ?

Hi,

I'd like to know about the following stuff in my current EV 9.0.4 R1:

how much does the archived file in the EV ?
how much does the mailbox archived size in EV ?
how much / big does the orphaned files in the EV ?

so that I know how much capacity to prepare and expect when I move out the file server archived items into the CIFS share for complete file server migration.

For size on disk, just look at your vault store partitions physically, ie through windows explorer For size of archive use the usage reports, though it won't be accurate to say that a 3GB archive is genuinely 3gb as it is most likely sharing attachments with other users, so it could be 2.5gb instead of 3gb For size of orphans, export your usage to TSV, sort the columns by billing account and then sum the archive size column

Hello John,

You can refer following tech article which describes all the Operation reports and its usage.

http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO31826

Do you like to know orphan shortcuts/placeholders in mailbox or on File Server?

For mailbox, run mailbox archiving task in report mode and check the report for orphan shortcuts

For File Server, to verify this you can run the FSAUtility in Report mode to verify the number of Orphaned Placeholders.

FSAUtility.exe -o -s [SourceUNC path] -r

Note: Make sure you run it with the -r switch as this is what denotes Report mode.

Thanks all for the advice, I was thinking that I will need to ask someone to create / share the SQL script to do this.
