I want to disable Offline Vault for everybody

Hi. During my rollout I need to hold back the support questions regarding the Offline Vaults. I would like to disable it for everyone a while and then enable it user per user when it starts to get interesting.

I'm assuming you're rolling out EV V6. Go into your default mailbox policy, under the Advanced tab there are settings specifically for Offline Vault. Modify the Offline archvies enabled state and change it to None.

Remember to also syncronize the policy against your exchange servers manually to push out the change immediately.

I believe that adding the DWORD for the user will enable offline vaulting:


"OVEnabled"=dword:00000001

This is true, but you must set the default policy back from none to user (under the Offline vaults advanced page). Remember to sync against the new settings before you enable individual users.
