Manual PST Import / PST Migration Policy

Hi all,

Running new install of EV 7.5 SP2, 4500 users, in pilot right now.

Does anyone know if when you manually import a PST (Right Click Archives > Import) if the Default PST Migration Policy applies?

Im wondering because I imported one of my 2.5GB PSTs and it gave me an error at the end saying the size of the shortcuts was going to put me way over my mailbox quota.  It was about 450MB of shortcuts.

I found the option in the default PST Migration Policy where you can limit the age of shortcuts that get put into Exchange.  My question is, when I go to import my second PST, will the newly modified default policy apply and only give me the 6 months of shortcuts that I set?

Hi Greg,

The Default PST policy only honours PSTs brought in through the Locator/Collector and Migrator and client side migration. 

I would welcome being able to limit age of shortcuts in the manual migration method as there are times when this would be very useful.
