Messages not deleted from Exchange

Greetings,
I am trying to setup ev60 but I can't get it to create stubs. Messages from Exchange are properly archived BUT they are not replaced by stubs even though I set up the policies to do that. I am not sure how i go about finding the issue. DTracing the ArchiveTask I get things like:

Have you set your Vault Store's "safety copy" setting to "after backup"?
This way, you have to backup your Vault Store first, before mails will be replaced with stubs.

Either set your safety copy setting to "immediately", or backup your Vault Stores (you can simmulate this by removing the archive bit on the DVS files)

That worked! I had changed the backup flag on them but I guess that did not work because I enabled "collections" before I set the policy of removing emails.
