PST Migration Size Limit

When trying to migrate any PST over 1.5 GB into eVault I am getting a Migration Failed error. I have been successful with PST's smaller than 1 GB with no errors.

I checked the event logs and this is the error message:

is the PST pre-Outlook 2003?

What version of Outlook do you have on the EV server?

The Outlook clients out on the desktops are 2003 or later and the client on the server is 2003. All other PST's work without any issues, why would larger ones be a problem based on client creation?

Hi,

It could be that the PST is absolutely full.  In that situation, EV cannot go into the PST and start archiving it(which is just what you'd want it to do!).  Try moving a couple of hundred items out of the PST and see if that gets past the problem. At least it will confirm that size is the issue.

I was going to suggest create a new PST from Outlook 2003 making sure it's the new format and then copy the contents of the problem PST over to it.

Of course, if it fails you have a corrupt PST, or an item in the PST.
