Placeholder VS Internet Links Shortcuts

I had archived some data from a target system and my Volume Policy configuration was set to leave "Placeholder" shortcuts.  If I modify the settings to leave "Internet Link" shortcuts instead, how do I make the change effective? Do I have to restart SEV services?

Also, the setting to remove safety copies is configued for "After Backups".  Do I have to wait for the system to be successfully backed up in this case before I start to see the Internet Links?

You probably won't need a restart, it will take effect on the next archiving run, I think.
However, it WON'T change existing placeholder shortcuts.

Yes, a backup is needed.
