Hi all,

Recently I started recieving a large number of errors in my daily logs for EV file archive, I get 1000's of errors similar to this

(date) (filename) This is not a valid placeholder file. Ignoring this file. Element not found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070490)

I am running 9.0.2.1061

Has anyone ever come across this before?

Sounds like this issue:

Copying files over existing placeholder files does not clear the Offline bit causing 'Element not found' errors when File System Archiving (FSA) is next run on the file.

But that should be fixed in your version.

I found this

How to use the FSAFixOfflineFile tool to correct 'Element not found' errors.

Many Thanks, this fsafixofflinefile.exe seems to have worked! now the huge task of finding all the files that are reporting like this (32 EV servers to search through logs!!)

Thanks Again!
