We are moving away from enterprise vault and have utilizied both journaling and mailbox archving with stubs. In regards to the stubs, how can we replace the stub with the original message? I don't want to restore any other items, just have the stubs replaced with the original messages.
Thanks

In my knowledge, users can select shortcut and restore using option provided in toolbar. Apart from that I don’t see any other tool that can restore only items for them shortcut exists in mailbox. Export using wizard (from VAC) can be helpful but it will restore all archived content.
Just quick research on google gave following partner’s link that can assist in your scenario.

“Our Archive Accelerator Restore reintroduces items into a user’s mailbox based on currently existing shortcuts – resulting in a cleaner restore with no duplicates.”

Hi Matthew,
is asked for options for a client driven recall a while ago:
Because the customer did´t want to spend some money for the solution it ended up in a hanout how users can build search folders for message classes. in this search folder they can recall items via the EV Buttons.
If i had to solve this today i would use transvault sprint. This should be easier.
