Hello,
I am wondering if there is any way for me to do a general search in EV (9.0), where I am looking for all emails in my vault, that were either from me to another user, or from that same user to me. Is there any way to accomplish this in just one search?
Thank you for your time.

So, you can use the Advanced web search, http://evserver/enterprisevault/search.asp?advanced to do your search.
You won't be able to get this done in just one search, however. You could create a basket and add the results of the search to it, then run your second search.
Honestly, that is not the intent of the browser search so I would recommend you keep your expectations reasonable.

I was afraid of that, I appreciate the quick response!

Actually, I just tested using the Recipient with "any field" and "contains all of" and put in two addresses and was able to only return emails where both of those were in the To or From field.
That might be worth a shot.
EDIT= This will also get email sent to both of you from someone else, so not exactly what you are looking for but as close as you can get with browser search.

Also worth a look at the (native) "Query Builder" within Outlook search
add a QueryBuilder to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\xx.0\Outlook\QueryBuilder
where xx.0 equals your Outlook version number. (e.g. 14.0)
