Hi Guys,
I am new to Evault File server Archival solution. Currently i am planning security for the archived data , can someone suggest inbuilt feature or third party product to provide high level of security to archived data.
Just as a FYI , all Evault Stores are mounted from NetApp shared storage, that why we are little concern about security.
Solved! Go to Solution.

When you say Security do you mean prevention of access or prevention of deletion?
EV has built in Security for the prevention of Deletion by not allowing users to delete archived items by default and also the provision of Retention Categories to keep data for certain periods.
In regards to Security of access, EV syns AD / Exchange permissions to each users archive and therefore only designated users can view access items. These permissions can be viewed on the archive properties pages.
If you are thinking more about the communication between clients are servers then you can user HTTPS.
Have a look at this, it's v8 but still gives a good overview: http://www.techrepublic.com/whitepapers/enterprise-vault-80-security-model-for-microsoft-exchange-ar...
