Shortcut/Archived Item Sync

I know in 8.0, there is support for sync operations between the shortcut and the archived item. Is this retroactive to items archived before 8.0 was installed? One of the major problems we face with our current version is when shortcuts are moved from Folder A to Folder B, and we do a PST export of Folder B, the archived items are not exported because they were originally archived in Folder A. So if we upgraded to 8.0, is there something we could run which would synchronize the folder location of the shortcuts with the archived item for the entire mailbox/archive?

Yes it will do items moved/copied before EV8.  

Once upgraded, you can do a Run Now on the Mailbox Archiving task and choose the "shortcut Processing" Run Mode option.
