i am seeing "No preview of this item available with error code 0x80004004 for a single item . event on the EV server is as below.

Hi there,
It is likely that the CAB file (assuming collection is enabled) has become corrupted. You can run EVSVR in Verify mode to determine the total number of corrupted CAB files.

I am going to run the EVSVR in Verify mod. But how can i pin point the exact CAB file for the item i am looking for ?

Good question. Normally the location of the archived item is provided with the event error. Can you check if there is any other event viewer message regarding this?

Hello,
Either you do an EVSVR Verify complete of that single Archive only or assuming you know the SavesetID or IDTransaction you could try the EVSVR DumpSaveset (in EVSVR Interactive mode).
the syntax for the dump saveset would be:
EVSVR> I
EVSVR Command>DS <archiveID> <SavesetID or IDTransaction>
