Vault Building block query

Gentlemen,

Considering two archiving servers(evsrv1,evsrv2) in the same EV site, can i use the Building block  technology to make use of evsrv2 to take over services for evsrv1, in case of evsrv1 failure OR should i need a spare server with just the EV services installed but not doin any archiving..pls help

You can use EV Server 2 to host EV Server 1's work in a DR event. However it is worth noting if Server 2 is busy and you ask it to take on server 1's load it may tip it over the edge. In this scenario I would suggest you put EV in to read only mode.

In your configuration you should put the Indexes and Vault Stores in different drive letters on the two servers so that you don't have any conflicts in a failover scenario.
