I would like to know if the Vault Cache on the end user PC is secure. If someone gets access to the file system and the PC hard drive is not encrypted, can the vault cache be accessed? I am comparing this with PST files which can easily be accessed and opened via Outlook if retreived from a hard drive that is not encrypted.
Environment is as below:
EV Server: 9.0.2
EV Outlook Add-in: 9.0.2
Client: Windows 7
Outlook 2010
Thanks!

The VC files (.db, mdc etc) are the same as .PST's, so there isn't any security on them.

Thanks for you reply. Is there any option to secure the files by methods other than drive encryption/NTFS?

Not that I know of.
