Vault Cache tries to connect to ev site

Hi,

in client computers, vault cache is enabled.
cache is synchronizing correctly, turning the DB file to PST file works and all files and attachments are opened correctly.
BUT...
it's not working when disconnecting from the network.
Although DB files are available locally, when trying to open an archived mail we get the bar that says : "trying to connect evserver", and then the mail opens with the lines that says that the mail was archived but unavailable. double clicking the grey lines will give "server name could not be resolved".

the only error that I can see from client dtrace is: 0x80004005

could not find anything that even looks alike in google and Symantec.

BTY - it worked up until few days ago, but on the server side there are no errors, I know that 0x80004005 has something to do with BITS, but I don't know where else to dig...

Any ideas?

Sarah.

well 0x80004005 is just a generic "Something went wrong" error and is more windows specific than BITS.
But the question is, what version of the client are you using because some of the older EV8 clients wouldn't retrieve off of Vault Cache when it was disconnected, i think it was fixed in a hotfix for EV8 SP4
