archive explorer issue

GTK
Level 6

hi

can anyone advise on this issue:

one of our users cannot see all the folders in their archive explorer. If we profile the account we can see all their folders however the user can only see a subset of the folders. It cannot be anything to do with temporary internet files as the user has had their machine replaced recently. Has anyone come across this before?

Hi,

1. If you try to open Archive Explore using URL on effected machine will it show all folder .

URL : http://EVSreverName/EnterpriseVault/ArchvieExplorerUI.asp

2. The folders which not show has contain any archived item ?

3. Are you using IE 10 on machine ?

If you can see his/her archive propery, it looks like a browser issue. If the user is using IE 9 or 10, make sure that Compatibility View is enabled.

Also, take a look at the Compatibility Guide:

Hi ,

You can also refer :

Archive Explorer displays incorrect or incomplete folder listing in the folder list and item list.

I would possibly try granting full permission over the top of their current in the EV console?  Did this break when the users machine was replaced? I always try and work back to the msot recent change :) Can they search for (and find) items that are in those folders?

just gonna Echo what Nate said, saw an issue with PST Migration not so long ago and PermissionsBrowser showed 0 permissions, no allows, no denys, nothing on the imported folders, granting full control fixed it

Afterwards restart EV Services to flush permissions cache etc
If you can see the folders with another account that has full permission, it would suggest that its not an issue with the ArchiveFolderView
