decommissioning Enterprise Vault 2007 7.5 sp2

I have one server EV with 80 gb mail archived end one server exchange 2003. Can i  decommission EV end move data from EV to Exchange?

What's the best practice for this case?

Hello

With EV you can export the archived data back to exchange.

For mail-archives, rightclick Archives, choose export, choose export archive to original mailbox.

Make sure to disable users for archiving, as (if EV is running), all will be archived again. Keeps you going at least.

you should use the export wizard to either move the items to PST Files and then exmerge them in or use the export wizard to restore the original mailboxes

 

Do this before you decomission the server, because afterwards you wont be able to do anything with the data
