We are trying to create a procedure for the Disaster Recovery of Linux 5.5 64 bit from IBM blade to HP X86 servers.

Has anyone is doing it? If so any known issues? How fast is the recovery time? Do we need seperate driver to recover on different hardware? If any one have chalk out the procedure please post it and also if any one know the good documentation link ; Please help us out.

Any help would be apprecited. We are using netbackup version 7.1.0.3 .

Thanks in advance

*** WARNING ***

The function of Dissimilar System Restore (DSR) for UNIX clients is not a published supported function of the Bare Metal Restore (BMR) Option to NetBackup at any release level.  However, given the proper restore environment, the BMR restoration process should work without error.  It must be noted that this is still not a fully supported function and your results may be unpredictable.

However, the procedure is here: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH62678
