Hello Guys

I need to backup a Virtual Machine with Ubuntu (Linux) OS.

I want to use the Virtual Backup option because I do not have more license available.

How can I set a Policy like Flash-Windows Policy to backup a Linux OS?

Thanks

The issue was the VM Host Name, when we browse on the ESX fo the Linus VM. The Host name appear Blank. I change Client NameSelection to be VM display Name on the policy Snapshot Option This solve the issue.

Thanks

From the Netbackup 7.1 VMware manual:

For Linux virtual machines, FlashBackup-Windows is the only supported policy type.

http://www.symantec.com/docs/DOC3663 page 29.  I recomend you read all the notes on page 29 and forward. Some of them may make you say D'OH at restore time wink
