Backup fails on a specific media server

Hi,

We are experiencing backup error 58 on a vmware policy client, upon checking, it fails at two specific media servers but successful at only one media server. I tried checking if the client can ping both media servers, it is pingable and able to nslookup. Any thoughts?

ensure there is an entry in the client bp.conf

SERVER=mediaservername

If you're using the vmware policy type , it should fail with SC:58 as it will be an agent less backups.

Could confirm is this a online backup or agent based flat file backups  ?
