On the client host properties of the Exchange Server - under Windows Client - Exchange - is your mailbox still specified that is required for the individual mailbox backups.
If it is there does it still exist on the Exchange Server and have all require rights as specified in the NetBakcup for Exchange Admin Guide?
Is the NetBackup Client Service on the Exchange Server also set to use an Exchange Admin account and included as a local admin on the Exchange Server?
Hope this helps
