Making sure that the format of $ORACLE_SID:$ORACLE_HOME:Y/N: is used separating each variable with a ":" (colon) and that the variable $ORACLE_HOME is correct.

Hi

Check this note to see how to list your backups using bplist

http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH36428

You can also query the backups using RMAN, the BAR gui isn't of much use when running Oracle.

Hi Amit,

Please use this command to see oracle files from master and client side with out NBU BAR GUI.

/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bplist -B -C <client> -k <policy name>  -t 4 -s <start date> -e <end date> -b -c  -R /

The database is connected - I've changed to oracle policy (not in picture) for doing restore, but it don't apear nothing under oracle - I can see the backup files with bplist fine - my question is why can't I browse the tree if everithing is configured ok and I can make backups and restore with command line?

Hello all,

I'm doing already rman backup's and restores from samples scripts included on netbackup 7.0.1 - still have no clue for this browsing issue - It will be easy to show for my customer, from the jbpSA gui what he can do backups or restore - does anybody know how to display oracle structure on BAR (doesen't give any error or request for user and password) - this problem is resolved with NBU 7.1??? (actual versioning: Oracle Release 9.2.0.8.0, NBU 7.0.1)

works OK on this end

you're logged on to the same client from which you took the Oracle backups ?

with an account that has SYSDBA privileges?

Correct, I'm logged with oracle sysdba user on oracle machine that i've done backup, and run jbpSA command to open BAR gui - still cannot browse oracle tree. I've 3 oracle agent instalations on diferente machines, the problem persists across all of them.
