Yes, the client binary contains all the different installs.

Unfortunately, due to the way the install works, there is no way to just copy out the version you need for a particular client type.

hi ,

you are tyring to copy over the LAN the size of the binaris are a big issue..

there is way to trim down the size

go to the below path in the extracted one, and move the OS types that you dont wnat and just keep the OS version that you would like for upgrade.

/NBClients/anb/Clients/usr/openv/netbackup/client

you can also remove the Doc directory if you would like to.

HI Nagalla,

The path you provided is from the media server ?

If yes, i just to copy the repective binary of the client OS and paste on client machine. ?

this the path that you find once you extract the dowloaded file NB_CLT_7.5.0.5.tar

this is huge size because it included all OS binarires

so

1) extract NB_CLT_7.5.0.5.tar

2) go to the path <extracted folder>//NBClients/anb/Clients/usr/openv/netbackup/client

3)keep the OS flavers that you want to use for upgrade , move rest of the OS flavers to another location

4) now you can check the extracted folder with reduce size , which you can move on your requierment

Hmm, I think I might be 100% wrong , well on the delete unwanted clients part ....

Apologies, no idea where I got that idea from, I'll try it later see if it works ...
