Encryption in Backup Exec

Can anyone at Veritas speak about the statement made by Mike Adams, group manager of Symantec Corp.'s Veritas NetBackup product marketing in the article below about encryption being added to Backup Exec in the second half of this year? If not, can you forward information on who I could possibly contact to find out?

William was asking if BackupExec will get the ability to encrypt. This option is NOT currently available in BE but may be made available in the future. That was his question and he did correctly post it in a BE forum.

This is a NetBackup forum and BE questions should not be posted here. Please put it back where it belongs in a BE forum.

You are warmly welcomed to the Netbackup forum. However, while you may find some BE experienced people in this forum, it is still mostly NetBackup. Another drawback is that this is NOT a moderated forum. Unfortunately symantec will probably not move your question back to a BE forum since they do not participate in the Netbackup forum.


I suggest you repost the question but do not use the keyword Netbackup in your post. Simply put the statement

Can anyone at Veritas speak about this published statement made by Mike Adams of symantec? "Symantec has encryption on its roadmap for Veritas Backup Exec for the second half of 2006"
